RCB April 2018

Our Spring COPE event this year was hit! The Spring COPE event topics included White Dots in the Retina and Optic Nerve Edema versus Anomalous Appearance. The lectures were geared to understand the pathology of these diseases, diagnosis, case-based management and treatment. This year, we took a different approach in our explanation using visual examples with play dough! Our engaging lectures allowed us to discuss patient management on a case by case basis so attending doctors are able asses similar cases successfully.

At Retina Consultants of Boston, we greatly enjoy planning and delivering our COPE events. We truly enjoying sharing the topics discussed at all our events with our local optometric colleagues. We love sharing in open dialogue on different cases we may encounter as a team. We hope everyone enjoyed the event and we are thrilled to see returning guests and new faces as well. We have another COPE event this upcoming Fall.  Please stay tuned for more information on our next topics!  Thank you to all our attendees.  We hope you enjoyed the lecture and the delicious treats provided like these beautiful RCB cookies!

In the interest of maintaining further transparency and providing a wide breadth of information to our patients and providers, this blog will serve as an educational and informative resource on interesting happenings within Retina Consultants of Boston and in the greater field of Ophthalmology.

Here at Retina Consultants of Boston, Dr. John J. Weiter and Dr. Namrata Nandakumar are on the forefront of diagnostic techniques, treatment and micro-surgical techniques for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular holes, and a number of other issues affecting the vitreous and retina.
